11 months ago I left my Walkie PA position on Shrinking Season 2 in Los Angeles, and began working on Poker Face Season 2, as Natasha Lyonne's assistant, in New York City.

A new position, a new city, a new adventure (again!) It's pretty funny how good I've gotten over the years at moving states in a matter of days.

I was beyond excited to be working with Natasha and the Poker Face team again, as well as working as her assistant. Natasha wears so many hats on Poker Face, as an executive producer, director, and lead actress. I knew that it was going to be a tough job with lots to learn, but it was a new challenge and a new opportunity.

6.5 months. 12 episodes. 3 weather seasons. New friends and catching up with old. I am extremely lucky and grateful for the opportunity. I was even given my very own chair-back and received a new credit this season - Associate Producer. This season is going to be a blast and I hope everyone enjoys it when it premieres next week on May 8.

At the end of the season I was absolutely ready for some rest and to sleep in my own bed again. Unfortunately the wildfires in LA prevented me from flying back until mid-January. Leaving me with only two weeks to move out of my apartment since our lease was ending.

Ultimately I made the tough decision to return home to Pittsburgh. I miss my friends in LA and New York terribly but I am glad that I am home.

At the beginning of April I got the chance to interview for a Production Secretary position for a new feature film that will be filming in Pittsburgh this summer. After 3 months of part-time work and rest, I was excited to be back in the industry, and in another new role no less.

So far I'm loving the office and it's the first time in my career where for 5 months I know where I'm driving to every day. A real treat in my world.

I'm making new connections and new friends and learning more about the industry and what happens before I usually show up on set.

In my downtime, I'm enjoying seeing my family and friends, visiting my camp, and have been working on some new projects! A new short that I'm hoping to shoot this year and working on writing my second feature.

New Tables has been submitted to numerous festivals and received an honorable mention for Best Drama Short at the Indie Shorts Fest January 2025. I'm super excited to see how our film does in the other festivals.

And in September when this job ends, we'll see where the winds take me.
